How to Extend the Service Life of Braiding Machine Bearings

The current execution standard for spinning spindle bearing products is still the textile industry standard FZ/T92025-1994 (DZ series spinning spindle bearings). Cages made of new reinforced nylon material offer the following advantages: first, they are made of engineering plastic – PA66 glass-fiber reinforced nylon; second, injection molding provides good manufacturability with stable dimensions and shape; third, the nylon cage provides a certain self-lubricating effect; fourth, the optimized pocket-hole structure reduces the swing amplitude of rollers during high-speed running, lowering noise to some degree.

First, the spinning spindle bearings must be kept fully lubricated during operation, with regular lubrication according to actual conditions — never run dry for long periods. Users should select better and more suitable spindle oil. New special-purpose spindle oil significantly improves lubrication, extends the oil-change interval and the service life of both spindles and bearings, and provides good anti-rust and anti-corrosion performance.

Second, bearings with reinforced nylon cages should be used below 120°C; oil-boiling cleaning is strictly prohibited.

Third, be careful when cleaning spindles to avoid damaging or scratching the roller surfaces. Remove residues from the bearing area as thoroughly as possible, preferably by flushing and suctioning out residual oil from the spindle foot interior. Avoid dumping cleaning fluid in a way that lets debris accumulate and remain in the bearing area, which can cause noise, wear and failure.
