Bio-rope fillers, based on flat-braiding construction, modify synthetic fibers for appropriate hydrophilicity, bio-affinity and electrostatic properties, and add substances that promote microbial metabolic activity, improving biofilm attachment speed, quantity and stability. With activated sludge added, biofilm attachment can take as little as 2 hours, and the system reaches normal operation in less than a month.
Bio-rope fillers use a high-strength polypropylene mixed-braiding process; a single braided line withstands 15kg tension. Thanks to the unique central rope fixing method of the rope-type bio filler, a single cross-section contains 12 braided ropes, and the tested bio-rope filler withstands 80kg tension.
